Abbey Extends Strategic Partnership with British Sugar
Abbey Logistics is excited to announce that we have been shortlisted for the Motor Transport ‘Haulier of the Year’ award. The winners will be announced at the awards evening which takes place at the famous Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 5th July so it’s very much fingers crossed for now!
The Motor Transport awards are the biggest awards event in transport and haulage recognising outstanding achievements in the road transport industry and a real highlight of the year.
We have been proud recipients of this award twice before, in 2010 and 2014, joining only two other companies to ever win the award twice in its near 30 year history. However, nobody has won the award three times and Abbey is hoping to change this!
The awards are rigorously judged and are a barometer of how Abbey Logistics performs against the best logistics companies in the U.K. The fact we have been shortlisted for the third time is a testament to the hard work and achievements our teams have made over the past year, including securing several new contracts and the company’s management buyout together with the successful acquisition of Armet Logistics. In addition, the company has made significant operational advances over the past 12 months, improved utilisation of its road tanker fleet and put in place a highly experienced leadership team to develop and grow the business.
This latest news follows on from Abbey Logistics collecting the Business Master Award at this year’s Businessdesk.com annual Awards event in Manchester in early April.
