Abbey Logistics has taken delivery of 25 new DAF XF tractor units, now in service with the liquids and powder fleets. Supplied by North West Trucks, the new units continue the long-standing relationship between DAF Trucks and Abbey Logistics.
These XFs have been specified with long-distance driving, comfort and practicality in mind. The High Sleeper cabs feature a 10.1-inch DAF infotainment system with live satellite navigation, DAB and Bluetooth connectivity, alongside a five-speaker sound system.
Comfort away from the driver’s seat was just as important. The specification includes a TV, microwave, refrigerator, additional storage and an Xtra Comfort mattress, with the foldable co-driver seat creating extra space in the cab when needed.
Proud to keep investing in the fleet, improving the equipment so it better suits our drivers, and supporting operations nationwide and across our European work.
Matthew Parsons, Group Operational Director, said: “As the Group continues to grow, it’s important that our teams have the right support and equipment to do their jobs effectively. This investment strengthens our fleet and helps us continue delivering the reliable service our customers expect.”
Peter Cunningham, Operations Director, added: “A successful fleet truck is one that our drivers will take great pride in operating. It needs to be safe, comfortable and specified properly for the job.”
Equally important are the people who make it all possible. Our dedicated Heavy Goods Vehicle workshop team and fleet admin operations, alongside our in-house apprenticeship scheme, provide expert 24-hour service and support, working around the clock to keep our national fleet safe, compliant, and on the road. Their skill, commitment, and professionalism are at the core of our success, making sure we can deliver for our customers every day, wherever they are in the country.
