Shift Patterns: Monday–Friday Days | Monday–Friday Nights |

Pay:

Monday – Friday Days: £16.05 per hour
Monday – Friday Nights: £17.50 per hour

Saturday Days : £17.00 per hour
Saturday Nights: £17.50 per hour

Sunday Days: £18.20 per hour
Sunday Nights: £18.50 per hour

Abbey Logistics is recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our new contract with Tate & Lyle, based in their Normanton depot. Our new partnership is including implementing an industry leading brand-new Electric Vehicle fleet on parts of the contract supported by the ALG wider network.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading tanker logistics specialists and become part of a dedicated operation supporting a major name in the food and ingredients industry.

As an HGV Class 1 Tanker Driver, you’ll play a vital role in the safe and reliable transportation of food-grade syrups and sugar products between Tate & Lyle and customer sites.

You’ll be joining a professional operation where safety, quality, customer service and food hygiene are at the heart of everything we do.

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of our Tate & Lyle operation, your responsibilities will include:

• Safely and professionally operating an HGV Class 1 tanker
• Collecting and delivering food-grade syrup and sugar products to customer sites
• Completing delivery documentation and using digital systems
• Following customer site procedures and strict health & safety requirements
• Maintaining excellent standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation
• Providing professional and friendly customer service
• Working as part of a dedicated team to deliver a safe, reliable and efficient service
• No tanker experience? We provide the training in our Driver Academy

What We’re Looking For

To join us as an HGV Class 1 Tanker Driver, you’ll need:

• A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC , Digi Card
• A professional and safety-focused approach to driving
• Good communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer service

Previous tanker experience is advantageous, but it’s not essential.
