HGV 1 Tanker Driver – Nights

Abbey Logistics – A UK and European, Industry Leading, food and non-food tanker Distribution Business are seeking to recruit the following;

HGV 1 Tanker Driver
Trafford Park
Monday – Friday Nights (Start time 1600-1700)

• Full time permanent
• Tanker experience preferred but not essential
• Food tanker Oils (none ADR)
• 10 hour guarantee per shift
• £15.26 for the first 20 weeks / £16.26 there after
• £1000 loyalty bonus after 12 months

The role of an Abbey Logistics Class1 Tanker Driver is to safely and efficiently, deliver customer products using bulk liquid tankers throughout the UK and into Europe if required.

Duties will include:

• Loading and unloading liquid tankers at customer sites and depots, following strict safety and environmental procedures
• Transporting bulk liquids to various destinations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
• Daily vehicle checks, ensuring the tanker and associated equipment are roadworthy and compliant
• Working at heights
• Operating pumps and hoses safely during loading/unloading procedures
• Completing paperwork and delivery documentation accurately and on time

Experience

• Hold a full LGV C+E (Class 1) licence for a minimum of 2 years (no more than 6 penalty points)
• Tanker experience preferred but not essential
• Must hold a valid and up to date DCPC Card
