Transport Planner (Powders)

Role

The role of trainee planner will involve being trained to execute the allocated plan daily and ensure the drivers and tanks are where they should be at the allocated time. To be the main point of contact for drivers and customers on a daily basis.

Salary

Starting £26,000.00 per year

Benefits:

Shift: Monday to Friday 07:30- 17:30

Location: Bromborough

Support and development provided:

  • Product compatibility reporting
  • Route planning (on job training)

Salary to increase to £36,000.00 when fully trained.

 

The Trainee Planner role will involve the following elements:

Transport Planning:

  • Supporting the planning team in executing the allocated plan daily and ensure the drivers and tanks are where they should be at the allotted time.
  • Route planning support (will be trained in bulk powders)
  • To be a key point of contact for drivers
  • To assemble planning performance KPI’s for Senior Management and support planning functions in other depots as required.
  • Driver communication.

 

Customer Service:

  • To be a key point of contact for customers
  • Phone calls and order entry & amendments
  • Preparing customer KPIs and reports
  • Holiday cover for Transport Planner (once fully trained to cover the basis of the role)

 

The Individual:

  • We are keen to employ an individual with energy and preferably some previous experience within a busy transport planning environment.
  • Someone who is ready for a challenge and keen to build a career in Transport & Logistics.
  • Ideally a minimum of 3 GCSE’s or equivalence (incl. Maths & English grade C+) .
  • Organised and professional in approach
