Role
To manage the customer service delivery performance and financial reporting of the contract ensuring that all contractual requirements are exceeded. Align business performance with customer expectations, prepare, manage, and monitor KPI’s daily to ensure the business achieves agreed service levels.
SOME KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall responsibility for contract service levels, customer cost statement and supplier management.
- Responsible for cost efficient operational transport plans daily.
- Give direction and monitor the performance of the Transport Operations Manager whilst ensuring the department runs efficiently and effectively.
- Consistently promote and adhere to Company policy, procedure, and legislation, including but not limited to, that relating to health and safety.
- Operate systems which ensure that drivers, vehicles, and fleet are planned in accordance with the company’s O Licence undertakings and take steps to ensure the traffic office comply with the business requirements in this regard.
- Install / maintain a robust health and safety culture, ensuring prompt action to challenges and maintaining the reporting system to a high standard.
- Ensure all financial reporting, forecasting, budgets and customer KPI suites and analyses are completed in a timely manner and to customer expectations.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge and experience of people management.
- Knowledge of forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis in a manufacturing or logistics operation.
- Understanding of multiple IT and database systems used in a fast-paced environment to streamline process.
- Minimum 5 years in a Transport / Planning role in a multi-location LGV environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English
- Degree or equivalent standard of education
- International CPC – Essential
- HACCP – Desirable
- IOSH – Desirable
